Meet the Avail AR!

We’re stoked to stock the new Avail AR by Liv - the cycling company dedicated to designing bikes specifically for women and getting more women riding - a cause we feel pretty strongly about as well! This new bike is a road bike with a focus on endurance - designed for comfort, stability, and control during the longest rides! If you’ve been wanting to buy your first road bike, or upgrade to a versatile and powerful road bike, this could be the right bike for you!

Who is the ideal rider for a Liv Avail AR bike?

The Avail AR is great for people who want to comfortably go on long rides - particularly someone who wants to grow their endurance or may be riding in unpredictable conditions! We would recommend the AR to someone who wants to feel in control and comfortable on long rides, both on the road and those who want to explore off the beaten path - this bike can take you smoothly from cruising on the road to crunching some gravel terrain!

Why do we love it?

We love how customizable the Avail AR is with a rear rack, full fenders, and up to 38mm tires. We also love how light it is! The frame is made of durable, lightweight aluminum and an advanced-grade carbon fork, making for a very smooth ride. This bike puts the rider in a less aggressive posture than Liv’s Langma, a racing road bike, to keep you comfortable for longer. The Avail AR also features a 12mm thru axle for stiff and accurate wheel positioning and disc brakes for strong braking power, even in rainy and wet conditions.

This bike comes in three levels - the Avail AR 1, Avail AR 2, and Avail AR 3. The AR 3 is the most affordable level, starting at $1,000 with Shimano Sora components and mechanical disc brakes. The AR 2 is $1,300, features Shimano Tiagra components, and comes upgraded to hydraulic braking technology. Once you move to the AR 1, you get hydraulic disc brakes and Shimano 105 components for $1,500. The top model also has D-Fuse handlebars with easy reach and less drop to dampen road vibrations and smooth out your ride. All the levels have tubeless ready wheels, meaning you can be ready to roll out with less flat tires to stop your ride.

For a rider looking to expand her horizons and find a bike for endurance rides on various terrains, this could be the bike you’re looking for. We’d love to set you up on a test ride with the Avail AR and see if this could be your new Bike BFF!
