Strength Training for Cyclists

Strength Training for Cyclists

$10.00

For this Wednesday night clinic, the BFFs have invited physical therapist, Dr. Jessica Stroup, DPT to teach you how to develop off season training plans that will help you crush next year's races!

Often times we might push through aches and pains to complete a training program and get through a race or event. Once the race is over, we rest and take an extended break from training, so those aches and pains become faint memories of the past. If I can't feel the pain anymore, it must be fixed, right? I guess it just needed a little rest.

Before we know it, Spring is here and the cycle repeats itself when we start a new training program and haven't addressed the problems from last year.

The same aches and pains pop up again and we throw the kitchen sink of exercises, acupuncture, foam rollers and massage guns at it while we try to keep up with the training volume. Then we end up either performing poorly, DNF, or painfully limping across the finish line.

This is a common story that could very easily be rewritten with a little planning, discipline, and a shift in mindset.

Of course it is important to recover and take a break after a big event or race. However, complete rest is not typically the answer to resolving your aches, pains, or injuries (of course there are some exceptions to this).

Join us Wednesday, November 8th at 7:00pm for this workshop where you’ll learn how to plan your off-season training in a way that aligns with your current level of fitness and your goals.
