Mechanic job description

Our service department is growing and we are looking for a full-time mechanic.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualities

● Demonstrated history as a skilled bike mechanic with significant competency in all aspects of bike mechanics and repair.
● Motivated to excel and keep current with new technologies and products
● Excellent customer service skills and enthusiasm to demonstrate our upbeat,
friendly shop culture and atmosphere
● Desire to work in a fast paced environment, excellent time management skills,
great organizational skills, ability to multi-task and dedication to meeting deadlines
● Ability to problem solve and willingness to go the extra mile
● Must prioritize high quality work and safety
● Build stock bikes
● Experience with Point of Sale system
● Positive attitude and team player a must we are a small shop so getting along
with others is important.

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Create repair tickets with good time and cost accuracy
● Ensure high quality standards are met
● Assist with inventory and restocking all parts as well as inventory counts
● Ensure all shop policies and procedures are followed and implemented
● Build inventory bikes and quality check inventory bikes as needed
● Stay up to date on all of our shop brand offerings and on cycling industry
● Placing special orders for repairs and help customers choose replacement parts
● Complete tune-ups and repairs efficiently
● Complete daily, weekly and monthly shop tasks such as sweeping and cleaning
● Experience writing service tickets
● Participate in at least 2 shop clinics and rides per month
